PRINCIPLE:  When we know Him and we are His... we are empowered by the Holy Spirit.  There’s absolutely no need to be afraid.  Jesus IS who He said He is!”

Dr. Thomas Q. Robbins, Teacher

It's hard for us to focus on spiritual matters because of the culture we live in … there’s so much do and too many places to go, so we neglect our calling.

We must all realize that each of us must act on the truth we experience when we meet Jesus and – and DISCOVERED,  HE IS Who He said He is!”

We have an exciting Bible study here that you are now listening to.  Thomas Q's subject was an incredible mystery when it occurred and remains a mystery for many to the present…. Including our teacher.

When the amazing event was over, Jesus told Peter, James and John, “Get up and don’t be afraid!” which is an indication of the intensity of the event.   It was a non-worldly, intense experience for the three disciples who were there observing an event that showed that Jesus “was” who he said he was!  And how does such an experience of finding out who Jesus is, impact a life – and more practically – what are you to do with that knowledge today?

We are to Listen to JesusI– really listen!   And you need to know how that’s done.  We are to Get UP!!!!! Boldly and not be Afraid.   When we know Him and we are His and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit.  There’s absolutely no need to be afraid…  Sin cannot bring us down and we will never never die spiritually.  This is way we can get up and move out with boldness and courage.

“Get Up and Don’t Be Afraid!”  The text for this message is the familiar passage in Matthew chapter 4:12-23  that describes the Transfiguration of Jesus.  The issue for us is “What do we do with the truth we experience – that Jesus is who He said He is!”   “Get Up and Don't be afraid!

Something To Consider

God used cosmic events and entered into historical events in the early years of his revelation to mankind but that general revelation was incomplete.   Not until He came to earth as a little baby, in a humble setting, did God complete what he intended.  He revealed his will for the salvation of the world through his son.   Jesus was both flesh and God.  He entered into the history of mankind and was seen and heard as "one of us."  He came to earth, not to condemn the world but that the world through His plan and person could be reconciled and have a personal relationship with him.
