BIBLE STUDY ~ AUGUST 25-31, 2019
This Bible study involves the familiar account of the Fig Tree found in the book of Luke. This passage involves a warning and warnings are not very popular in our culture -- But the truth in this passage offers you the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the principle that “Turning To God Is A NOW Thing!”
In many churches, Lent is observed as a vehicle to help members examine their lives to find out where they have been, where they’re headed and where they are on their journey. Denying ourselves something important is a method that helps us to think of the Lord far more than we might otherwise do during our everyday life. The scripture for this Bible study is from the Luke 13, verses 1-9. As you study with Thomas Q. look for these points.
Authentic Repentance requires:
2. A willingness to leave whatever is in the way of knowing God.
3. An acknowledgement that only God gives new life.
4. A willingness to forgive others as God has forgiven you.
We pray this time of Bible study has motivate you to take a good hard look at yourself – finding out where you are, where you’re headed and how you’re getting there, It’s so important you have an relationship with God through His Son.
When you experience authentic repentance before God His grace gives you new life. You don’t have to “do it” all by yourself and aren’t you glad of that? If you have never faced a time of repentance, the right time is now.
As this Bible study clearly presented, “Turning to God is a NOW Thing.” As scripture tells us, “Today is the day of salvation. Now is the accepted time!” Simply that means, “Salvation is NOW! – and it’s just between you and Jesus Christ. It’s vital that you clearly see what is real and true and beautiful and worth the investment of your life?
