The subject of Evangelism is Jesus Christ.  The subject is a Person—Jesus.  Its object is persons.  Although both subject and object may appear to be abundantly apparent, often Evangelism, particularly in regard to subject becomes confused and diluted when what is shared is not Christ, but a particular congregation or denomination or church program or some particular assets a Church may happen to possess.

That is to say The Church is essential to one’s Christian Faith, but Evangelism is not the peddling or the selling or the promotion of The Church.  It is rather the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with other persons.  All too often we attempt to fulfill our commission from the Lord to share the Gospel with an invitation to come to our Church.  Such invitations are valuable in and of themselves, but let’s not delude ourselves that this is Evangelism.  It’s not, at least not in the way Evangelism is understood in this text.

Evangelism is not a particular program or event.  Such activities are good excuses to invite people outside The Church to participate, but such activities do not constitute Evangelism.  The reason it appears to be important to speak of what Evangelism is not, is because there is much confusion today about what constitutes Evangelism.

Evangelism is the sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ with others in a natural way as part of one's lifestyle -- sharing what Christ means to you personally in everyday life.

Although there may be preliminaries, events and activities to provide and enhance a   situation in which people may more readily hear the Gospel.  Such preliminaries, events and activities are just that and nothing more.  These activities do not constitute Evangelism.

Once again, Evangelism Is the sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ with others in a natural way as part of one's lifestyle -- sharing what Christ means to us personally and how he has changed our life.

I have been a pastor for many years in Texas serving many different wonderful people through local churches.  Preachig, teaching, counseling, caring, ministering were all done in the name of Jesus Christ from pulpits, leturns, desk, counters and you name it.  However, what Christ means to me has always been an outflow of joy in my everyday life and something that is natatural for me to expresss in conversation, action and even silence.  That's what I mean by the phrase, "a natuaral way."

Many years ago, the Lord placed a desire in my heart to "share the good news of Jesus Christ" with others in a unique way -- through radio.  This is the reason for the Come and See radio program that has been reaching people for nearly eight years -- and likely the reason our paths have crossed at this time.

One of our goals is to have radio broadcasts all the States in our Nation.  But even beyond that, should the Lord direct and provide, my dream is that anyone, wanting to hear this Wesleyan Methodist teach the Word of God. they will be able to listen, no matter where they live.  We have begun but has a ways to go, to say it mildly.   Check out the Radio Station Log on this website to see how God has blessed us already -- allowing us to bless others with a unique presentation of the Gospel.

And through this simple website we are able to reach anyone in the world who is willing and knows how to connect with us.  Each month, the Come and See Website has   visitors from Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Russia Federation, Italy, Chech 20, England, Hungary, France, Belgium and Romania - citing one recent month.  Twelve percent of the visitors stay for over 15 minutes.

It goes without saying that we covet your continuing prayers.  Should the Lord ever impress you to become part of this way to share the Gospel, you may use this website helps you do that easily.  BUT, we ask that such a caring act on your part be done only after you have fulfilled your stewardship responsibilities to your home church.

                                            God bless you and yours.

Something To Consider

God used cosmic events and entered into historical events in the early years of his revelation to mankind but that general revelation was incomplete.   Not until He came to earth as a little baby, in a humble setting, did God complete what he intended.  He revealed his will for the salvation of the world through his son.   Jesus was both flesh and God.  He entered into the history of mankind and was seen and heard as "one of us."  He came to earth, not to condemn the world but that the world through His plan and person could be reconciled and have a personal relationship with him.
